Reflecting on a Legacy: BSG’s Founders’ Day Celebration

Founders.Day.2025-edited jacket

On May 22, 2025, Berman Sobin Gross LLP hosted a heartfelt evening in honor of the firm’s founding partners – Ken Berman, Cliff Sobin, and Alan Gross, whose vision and values have defined our firm for more than three decades.

It was a night filled with reflection, appreciation, and community. Colleagues, friends, and supporters gathered to celebrate not just the individuals who started it all, but the impact they’ve had on the lives of thousands across Maryland and Washington, DC.

Built on Vision and Purpose

In 1991, Ken, Cliff, and Al started BSG with a clear goal: to better serve and protect injured workers. Their approach combined compassion with fierce advocacy, reshaping how workers’ compensation and personal injury cases are handled.

Today, with over 25 attorneys throughout the state of Maryland, BSG continues their mission-standing up for clients and pushing for laws that support hardworking families and first responders.

Leadership That Lasts

The Founders’ Day celebration was not just a moment to look back—it was also a moment to look forward. The values instilled by Ken, Cliff, and Al have not only endured; they’ve been actively passed down to the current generation of partners, attorneys, and staff members who now lead BSG.

Today’s leadership continues the founders’ mission with the same dedication and heart-delivering personalized, high-quality legal representation, advocating for systemic change, and walking with clients through every step of their journey.

This continuity of values is what sets BSG apart. Every attorney at the firm knows they are part of something larger— a legacy of service, advocacy, and excellence that began more than 30 years ago and continues every day. Today, that legacy is proudly carried forward by a new generation of partners and attorneys who remain guided by the same founding values.

A Legacy We’re Proud to Carry Forward

As stories were shared and tributes delivered, one thing was clear: the firm’s greatest strength has always been its people. From our founders to our newest team members, and of course our clients who motivate us to be our best; we are united by a belief that justice matters, and that people deserve to be heard, respected, and represented with skill and compassion.

To Ken, Cliff, and Al—thank you for your vision, your courage, and the firm you built. And to the future: we are ready, honored, and proud to carry your legacy forward.
