About Cliff

Cliff loves traveling with his wife and spending time with his grandson. He enjoys football, skiing, writing and computer programming. He is a Maryland
native and an avid Redskins fan.

Professional Experience

Cliff is a founding partner of Berman | Sobin | Gross LLP. Since 2008 he authored a two-volume treatise on Maryland Workers’ Compensation law, which is published by West, a leading national publisher of legal books. Cliff graduated from the University of Maryland and then attended the University of Maryland Law School where he graduated with honors. He drafted legislation for the Maryland Legislature and then became a Law Clerk for the Honorable Jacob S. Levin in Prince George’s County. He has testified before the Maryland state legislature numerous times on pending workers’ compensation legislation. He also has served on two Committees at the request of the Maryland Workers’ Compensation Commission. On many occasions he has served as a mediator at the request of the Court. Cliff has been assigned an A-V Rating by Martindale Hubbell.

Cliff has taught numerous continuing legal education courses for lawyers and frequently presented seminars for many organizations.
