About Brandon
Brandon Cooper is a seasoned trial and appellate attorney concentrating on workers’ compensation and medical malpractice. He represents employees in litigation for workplace injuries, including firefighters, communication workers, police officers, union laborers, municipal employees, and teachers. Brandon is also a frequent speaker at union events statewide, where he educates employees about their legal rights and how to protect them.
In 2024, Brandon was recognized for his expertise in workers’ compensation law by being appointed as Faculty at the Judicial College of Maryland, where co-teachers a statewide course on workers’ compensation law for judges on the circuit court, Appellate Court of Maryland, and Supreme Court of Maryland. He also serves on the Education Committee of the Maryland Association for Justice, helping to plan and deliver continuing legal education for plaintiff attorneys throughout the state.
Before joining BSG Law, Brandon clerked for the Honorable Dana M. Middleton of the Baltimore City Circuit Court. Prior to his legal career, he spent over a decade working in public policy and education, serving in leadership roles within county government and local boards of education. He continues to champion access to quality education as a Board Member of a STEM-focused public charter school in Prince George’s County.
Brandon earned his J.D. from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law and holds dual B.A. degrees in Political Science and French from Howard University. Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, he has proudly called Maryland home for more than 20 years.
