About Chelsea
Chelsea is a native of Prince George’s County, Maryland. She graduated magna cum laude from Towson University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Criminal Justice, earning her degree in just two years. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from The George Washington University Law School, where she strengthened her passion for client advocacy and litigation. Chelsea earned the Gold AmeriCorp’s President’s Volunteer Service Award for earning 697 pro bono hours while in law school.
In her free time, she enjoys watching and playing basketball, trying new restaurants, watching documentaries, and spending time with friends and family.
Professional Experience
Prior to law school, Chelsea worked as an election judge for the Prince George’s County Board of Elections and worked as an investigative intern for the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia.
During law school, she gained extensive legal experience across a range of roles. Chelsea worked as a judicial intern for the Honorable Danya A. Dayson at the Superior Court of the District of Columbia; a legal intern for the Mid-Atlantic Innocence Project; and a legal intern for the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. She also worked as a law clerk for the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia and for a plaintiff-side employment discrimination law firm. Additionally, she continued to work for the Prince George’s County Board of Elections and worked as a research assistant for Dean Kohn at GW Law.
At GW Law, Chelsea was actively involved in student leadership and advocacy. She served as a Student Attorney in the Criminal Defense & Justice Clinic, Director of Elections for the Student Bar Association, Group Leader in the Public Interest & Pro-Bono Pre-Orientation Program, and Class Representative for ACLU-GW. Additionally, Chelsea competed and was selected to serve on three out of four of GW Law’s skills boards: Mock Trial Board (Member), Alternative Dispute Resolution Board (Fall Competition Administrative Chair), and journal (Executive Board Member of the George Washington International Law Review).
Chelsea’s background in investigations and law enables her to effectively gather and analyze facts and persuasively apply them to legal principles, achieving strong outcomes for clients through both written and oral advocacy.
