Catherine Woolley

Attorney

About Catherine

Catherine has spent her legal career representing individuals and fighting for their legal rights. Outside the office, Catherine is active in conservation issues and serves on the conservation and advocacy committee of the D.C. Audubon Society.

Catherine represents railroad workers injured during the course of their employment in cases arising under the Federal Employers’ Liability Act (FELA) and in whistleblower cases under the Federal Rail Safety Act (FRSA). She also handles personal injury matters in Maryland.

Prior to joining the firm, Catherine spent nearly 20 years as a trial attorney primarily handling complex criminal cases. From this, she developed expertise in handling cases involving serious physical injury and issues of complex causation. She has tried hundreds of cases before judges and juries. She began her legal career at the Public Justice Center working on a team led by former Attorney General Steve Sachs to establish a right to counsel in certain civil cases.
